Why did Sean 'Diddy' Combs give me his mobile number? (2024)
Why did Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs (917) 746-1444 & Ashton Kutchar +1 (319) 519-0576 tell everyone their mobile number?
Because, mobile numbers are now the most valuable commodity in data collection and texting is proving to be the most effective method to mass-communicate & market to.
It’s a no brainer.
When I call my friends (who aren’t in sales) It’s not uncommon to be met with a voicemail that greets ‘I don’t check this, just text me…’ and to be fair… I get it…
Calling someone without an appointment can be abrasive. The call demands the instant attention of whoever is on the other end of the line and if you don’t happen to be available, well you miss out. Plus there is the presumption that whatever the person calling has to say is more important than whatever the person receiving the call was doing.
Texts on the other hand are passive. You can get your message through without any requirement to respond. You can read it now, or you can read it later. The information can be stored, forwarded and easily recalled whenever you need it. It’s just a simpler way to get a message across.
At the risk of the pot calling the kettle black, I still call peopleALL THE TIMEand as far as driving appointments, deals or hard conversations forward, the call is always superior.
I’m just making a point.
If texts aren’t at the forefront of your daily marketing plan and you aren’t using it as a tool to mass-communicate info to your pipeline - you are missing the mark. Think texting about sales that have just happened or informing buyers as soon as you’ve listed a property (just to list a few easy examples)
