      Does anyone know what years G&L used the 3 bolt neck plates on their Strats?

            How did you find out the year? I heard the only way you can tell what year the guitar is if you take the neck off.
            I`m very interested in a Legacy that has the 3 bolt neck plate but the store has no info on what year its made. Not that it really matters because the guitar is amazing but its cool to know!

              OK....I just found out the 3 bolt plates were phased out in 97. And the guitar i`m referring to is a USA Legacy which was introduced in 92. So the guitar is in the 92-97 range!!!

                I just want to add that those 3 bolt Legacys are some of the best Strat type guitars around. Of the few I've played, I liked them better then Fenders.

                  All G&L's made from 1980 until mid year 1997 used three bolt necks. This included the basses also.

                    You know i`ve always been a Fender guy and i will defend them whenever i can,but i found a used USA G&L Legacy that just knocked me completely out!!! I am definitely a G&L believer now!!!!
